We have been working with Acetronic for over a decade now and standardized to their thermolators throughout our plant. We received a number of thermolators from an auction in our earlier days and Acetronics’ was one of them. After putting them into production it became very clear that the Acetronic units outperformed the others for reliability, ease of use, maintenance and cost. In addition to that they were Canadian made. We also used their hot runner cable manufacturing service as we required many specialty cables in a short period of time. They were easy to work with, fast and the quality is excellent along with great customer service. I always recommend them when it comes to thermolators and cables.

Thank you for coming over yesterday and being patient with us. As a follow up to our discussion, I had our electrician to take one of the cables apart. We inspected every wire, every pin, everything. There was no damage, no bad connections, no shorts, no visible issue at all. All was put together proper way. I am actually very impressed with the way the cable was manufactured, how the individual wires were laid out inside of the casing. It tells me a lot about Acetronic manufacturing process and I have only one word to describe it – Impressive!

Having used AceTronic Thermocline units for 5 years now, I can truly say they are a great value for the money. We have many units in our facility all running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and have had almost no issues at all. If any issues, they are minor and easily corrected / repaired. The control system meets our needs and functions as I expect, keeping our processes stable. We make precision plastic components so process stability is especially important for our mass production. The one item I do want to point out is that these units are VERY RELIABLE. My future plans are to continue using the AceTronic units across all of our platform.

Over the past several years, I have had to send in multiple sets of cables that have been damaged in my production facility. We had major carbon build up from running PC/ABS and not purging when the machines were down. We run both grey and black so cross contamination was constant, clear PP wasn’t good enough to put a dent in it and we couldn’t run our natural HDPE in these machines without very high scrap rates. After a 10 minute soak in the barrel and using about the same amount of product we used with another higher cost purge compound – I found it to be just as effective. I would definitely recommend Econo Purge from Slide.
