<h4 class="wp-block-heading">R<em>ecently we&#8217;re hearing from you, that you&#8217;re not sure if your sanitization products and/or methods are the correct ones to ensure both the safety of those applying it, as well as, effectively removing harmful contaminants.</em></h4>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">IS YOUR SANITIZER <strong>EFFECTIVE &amp; SAFE?</strong></h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">To help you choose the right disinfectant, we’ve provided some pros and cons below for a variety of germ-busting agents.</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list"><li><strong>Quaternary ammonia-based cleaners</strong> : Ammonia might kill salmonella and E. coli, but it is not an effective defense against all dangerous bacteria. Most &#8220;Quats&#8221; kill aquatic life when they get into our water system. Examples of &#8220;Quats&#8221; are&#8230; any sanitizer that smells nice. </li><li><strong>Bleach<em> </em></strong>: High pH, and low activity&#8230; makes things white. Is also a potential hazard to human health, capable of not only irritating sensitive tissue in the eyes, skin, mouth and throat, but also contributing to long-term respiratory problems like asthma. Bleach can also be hazardous to pets, wildlife and the environment. </li><li><strong>Baking Soda</strong>: Although baking soda is often used a household cleaner, it is ineffective against most bacteria, including salmonella, E. coli. and staphylococcus. </li><li><strong>Alcohols</strong>: Must be over 60% to be effective in hand sanitizers. Spores survive in these products. Alcohols dry hands, cause skin cracks, leaving you vulnerable to infection. The shortcomings of alcohols on equipment are that they damage the shellac mountings, tend to swell and harden rubber and certain plastic tubing after prolonged and repeated use. </li><li><strong>(Ultra-Lyte) Hypochlorous acid</strong>: An environmentally friendly but extremely potent antimicrobial solution capable of rapid destruction of bacteria, viruses, spores, cysts, scale, and biofilm. Replaces all current products while being entirely safe to use.</li></ul>
