Safety Modules
The new safety module line from Carlo Gavazzi has been conceived and developed
to provide a complete set of concrete solutions covering a wide range of applications
in the industrial field.
The result of this policy is represented by reliable performances and perfect
integration with the other products included into the safety range, so that
complete safety packages are available for several applications.
We are able to offer to the market dependable and complete solutions as safety
gate packages, safety light curtain systems and safety mat systems, at the
high CARLO GAVAZZI quality level, according to ISO 9001 Standard.
Designed according to the EN standards, all our safety modules have been designed
on the redundancy and self monitoring principle and can effectively connected
to our safety magnetic sensors.

Light Curtains
The new Safety Light Curtains SB2 and SB4 series have been conceived and
developed to achieve the highest level of technology and performance. The
result of this approach is a product extremely compact, reliable, easy to
install and along with the NL1/3-D safety relay, constitutes an effective
multipurpose safety system in Safety Category 2 and 4 in conformity with EN
61494-1/2.
Available with finger, hand or body resolution, all the products of SB2 and
SB4 series are provided with the basic Test, Start and Override functions.
The specificity of these series, stays in the possibility to select and set
partial or total muting and automatic or manual restart functions, simply
by adjusting the dip-switches on board. Actually, in spite of the compact
dimensions, all the software dedicated to the selectable functions has been
integrated into the body, which means that it is not required a safety relay
with specific functionality to operate the light curtains in muting mode.
If we add other important characteristics such as failure diagnosis by LED,
easy alignment and mounting procedure and a wide range of accessories available,
there is no doubt that our Safety Light Curtains in conjunction with the relative
safety relay NL1/3-D represent a complete and flexible safety device for a
wide range of applications.
